Polynomials

Polynomials means "many names."  It is the unit where we begin to move away from our familiar aritmetic operations involving integers, decimals and fractions and begin to use letters to represent our values.  That's right -- the dreaded "algebra."  What is key to remember is that all of our expressions can be related back to those familiar adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.  We are going to learn the basics of creating and using variables.
